A 16-year-old girl from Driftwood was shot and killed on Jan. 28. The Hays County Sheriff’s Office said that the incident was isolated and that the other juvenile involved has been detained. “Both juveniles resided in the home,” a Hays County Sheriff spokesperson stated.
On January 29, the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy and has ruled the manner of death homicide.
