The Lady Rattlers clinched their first district win of the season, beating the Clemens Buffaloes 3-0.
The win improves San Marcos overall record to 6-4-1 and their district record to 1-1.
The Lady Rattlers were powered by senior Annalise Martinez, who scored a hat trick in San Marcos’ win by scoring two goals in the first half and one goal in the second half.
Helping Martinez with her three goals was the senior duo Kareena Rodriguez and Daci Suraez. Rodriguez had two assists for the Lady Rattlers and Suarez had one.
Freshman goalkeeper Eve Prince kept the Buffaloes off the scoreboard with eight saves.
San Marcos returns home Tuesday night for a district game against East Central. Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m.
