Longtime advocate and CEO of Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center Melissa Rodriguez brings fresh perspective to strategic goals for Texas Council on Family Violence
The Texas Council on Family Violence (TCFV) welcomes Melissa G. Rodriguez, Chief Executive Officer of the Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center (HCWC), to its board of directors. With more than 22 years of experience in victim services and a strong commitment to empowering survivors, Rodriguez joins as Region 5 Area Director, contributing her leadership and expertise to advance efforts in creating safer communities across Texas.
Rodriguez has served HCWC in San Marcos for over two decades, rising from her role as Program Director for Roxanne’s House (the center’s Children’s Advocacy Center), to Director of Development and Community Partnerships, and eventually to her current position as CEO. Under her leadership, HCWC continues its 45-year legacy of offering critical services to survivors of family violence, dating violence, sexual assault and child abuse across Hays and Caldwell counties. HCWC operates a family violence shelter, non-residential counseling center, children’s advocacy center and the recently opened transitional housing complex, Marla’s Place.
