It was a rough night for the Lady Rattlers who battled Cibolo Steele in the rain, losing to the Knights 3-0.
The loss dropped San Marcos’ overall record to 8-5-1 and their district record to 3-2.
The Knights capitalized on two goals in the first half before sealing the game with a second half goal.
The Lady Rattlers will be off Friday night and will start up district play again next Tuesday, going on the road to New Braunfels Canyon.
Canyon sits in third place in District 29 with an overall record of 7-6-3 and a district 3-1, leading San Marcos by .5 game in a tie for second place. The Cougarettes are coming off a dominant 8-0 against Judson last Tuesday.
Kickoff for San Marcos- Canyon is set for 7 p.m. at Cougar Stadium in New Braunfels.
