As each new year rolls in, the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce provides opportunities for businesses and professionals to start the year strong. These gatherings offer an excellent platform for networking, learning and connecting with others in the community, all of which help set the tone for success and prosperity in the year ahead.
This year, the Chamber began with the Coffee Connector networking event at Garbo’s Dripping Springs. Before they opened for the day, the family-owned seafood restaurant hosted the event where business members enjoyed coffee while learning more about each business and the people who make them successful. New local business Next Level Urgent Care sponsored the event and shared their plans for serving our community and its growing medical needs. This popular member event happens on the first Wednesday of each month and rotates to various member locations.
Leadership Dripping Springs is in full swing with a cohort of 22 professionals. The deep dive of our nine-month program allows time for learning policies, practices and insights with information direct from industry professionals. The focus for January’s class day was county government. Meeting at the Hays County Precinct #4 offices, participants heard from County Commissioner Walt Smith, Hays County Sheriff Anthony Hipolito, Justice of the Peace John Burns and others who shared updates, goals and projections for various county efforts. Each January the Chamber hosts its State of the City luncheon. A sold-out crowd was on hand at Deep Eddy Vodka Tasting Room Jan. 22 for a presentation by Mayor Bill Foulds, Planning Director Tory Carpenter, City Administrator Michelle Fischer, Deputy City Administrator Shawn Cox, and others who covered planning & development, finance, city projects, parks & community services, and tourism. This annual event is tailored for business owners and community members so they may learn about happenings now and in the future in Dripping Springs. The luncheon was catered by Hays City Store, and local non-profit The Burke Center for Youth was the event’s sponsor.
Catering to its nearly 700 members, the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce events offer a valuable mix of networking, education and community involvement — perfect for starting the year with momentum and making the most of the opportunities 2025 has to offer.
