Gary Job Corps Security Cadets assisted with the volunteers to ensure the orderly functions of the Stock Show and Rodeo in San Antonio. Over a million visitors will come to the 18-day event to enjoy the delicious food, carnival rides, rodeo events, muttin’ bustin’ and world-class entertainment. The proceeds go to scholarships for students. It is not just a Texas Rodeo, but cowpokes come from Argentina, Australia and Mexico to participate. Captain Stevens, Montes and Haegele and Security Cadets have assisted in numerous projects in the Central Texas Area: Circuit of the Americas, Austin City Limits, South by Southwest, Moody Center Events, Comal County Fair, Sights and Sounds of Christmas, Q2 Soccer, Texas State Football and Graduation Ceremonies, Hats off for Veterans, LBJ Bash, 4th of July Parade in Martindale and numerous other projects.
