SMHS BOYS SOCCER
The Rattlers earned an important district road win, beating the Schertz Clemens Buffaloes 2-0 and avenging their district loss earlier in the season.
The win improves San Marcos’ overall record to 6-9-2 and their district record to 4-2-2. The win also forced a three-way tie for second place along with Clemens and Buda Johnson.
Julio Alvarado and Max Guzman both scored goals for the Rattlers. Guzman and Kayden Contra both earned assists.
San Marcos will be back home Friday night against the East Central Hornets. The Hornets are coming off a 7-3 loss to the district leading Cibolo Steele Knights.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
