HAYS COUNTY CONSTABLE
School bus drivers are the first to see your kids in the morning and the last to drop them off in the afternoon; your children’s safety and attendance are in their hands, which is a duty that none at San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District take lightly. The Hays County Constable Pct. 1 office held an event to recognize the hard work and dedication of SMCISD bus drivers.
“It’s in appreciation of what they do for all our kids — picking them up early in the mornings at their residences on our county roads and our city streets and getting them all to the schools safe,” Hays County Constable Pct. 1 David Peterson said, adding that safety is a top priority for school bus drivers. “They have to be good drivers. They have to pass all these training tests, and the parents depend on them and the teachers depend on them to get them to school safely and to get them back home safely.”
The constables office provided burgers, chips and refreshments in honor of all that the SMCISD bus drivers do for the community.
