Education Service Center Region 13 is proud to announce Joshua Sibley, Social Studies Teacher at Ki Charter in San Marcos, as the latest recipient of the Region 13 Star of the Month award. This recognition highlights Sibley’s dedication, leadership and unwavering commitment to his students and colleagues.
Sibley is a powerful and positive force on campus. He fosters a strong school culture by championing initiatives that bring students together, including the development of a campus mascot. He advocates for both students and staff, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently while maintaining a calm and uplifting demeanor. His collaborative approach extends beyond the classroom, as he frequently works with other departments to create meaningful cross-curricular opportunities for students.
“When we think of Sibley, he is the definition of timeliness, humbleness, diligence and dedication,” the Ki Charter Superintendent Jerry Lager, PhD, said. “He arrives every day ready to serve, setting a standard of professionalism and commitment that inspires those around him. Though he has never pursued a formal leadership role, his peers naturally look to him for guidance, recognizing his servant leadership.”
