Immigration attorney to give LBJ Museum spring lecture

LBJ Museum of San Marcos is excited to have Gerardo Menchaca presenting at the Spring Lecture scheduled for Thursday, March 20. Menchaca will be presenting on Current Issues on Immigration, which should be of interest to all.

This program starts at 6 p.m. with a reception with the lecture beginning at 6:30 p.m. The LBJ Museum Lecture Series is always open free to the public. Immigration Attorney Gerardo Menchaca has dedicated his career to working in immigration law. Menchaca helps clients from all around the world deal with the complexities of U.S. immigration law. As an immigration lawyer, Menchaca provides his clients with compre- hensive legal guidance regarding business and family immigration matters, including obtaining highly sought-after visas such as H1B’s, L1A’s, E2’s and the EB-5. Moreover, he counsels his clients on all aspects of the permanent residency and naturalization process.

Gerardo Menchaca

Attorney Gerardo Menchaca is a graduate of the St. Mary’s University School of Law and has an economics degree from Texas State University. Additionally, his community involvement includes serving on the boards of directors of nonprofit organizations such as Family Service Association Inc. and Positive Beginnings Inc., where he chaired the organization. He has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association for over a decade. Menchaca has been voted in “S.A. Scene Magazine” as being one of “San Antonio’s Best Lawyers” of 2011, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017 and again in 2018 for his legal work as an immigration attorney.

Menchaca feels that his job “is to help people get legal entrance to the USA, the best and most successful country on earth. I get a lot of satisfaction from uniting people with their loved ones because families belong together.”

Located in San Antonio, Menchaca has established himself to help those that are interested in applying for Work Visas, Green Cards, US Citizenship or starting a business in the United States. Menchaca has made it his vocation to help his clients take the steps needed to enter the US legally to achieve the American Dream. He provides immigration services to clients all around the world in coordination with his legal team.

Menchaca is head of the immigration section of Escamilla & Ponek, LLP. Established in 1991, Escamilla & Poneck, LLP is a regional full-service, minority-owned law firm representing clients in both the public and private sectors. The law firm’s practice has grown to have multiple Texas and Louisiana Offices.

Menchaca speaks English and Spanish fluently.

The LBJ Museum located on the Courthouse Square is entering its 19th year. The museum commemorates the formative role Lyndon Baines Johnson’s years as a college student and school teacher played in the landmark Great Society legislation he passed as the 36th president of the United States between November 1963 to January 1969. The museum is free to the public and is open Thursday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
