SAN MARCOS AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the return of the annual S.T.E.A.M. Fair, in partnership with the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District Career and Technical Education program. This year’s event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at San Marcos High School. The S.T.E.A.M. Fair is free and open to all families and students in the area.
The S.T.E.A.M. Fair serves as a festival of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics activities, providing an immersive and interactive experience for students and their families. Held to inspire innovation and foster a passion for learning, the fair offers a diverse range of hands-on activities, demonstrations and exhibits.
Attendees can look forward to engaging with local businesses, organizations and educators, as they show off their take on S.T.E.A.M. education and career development. From robotics demonstrations to interactive art, the fair promises something for everyone, regardless of age.
“It’s all about inspiring our future workforce by connecting students with these hands-on experiences,” said Page Michel, San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce president. “By sparking interest in sci- ence and technology, we’re helping to build a stronger community and a brighter future. The Chamber is super proud to bring our businesses and schools together to make this happen.”
The San Marcos Area Chamber encourages businesses and organizations to participate by becoming exhibitors. There is no cost to participate. At the S.T.E.A.M. Fair, exhibitors can showcase their products, services and career opportunities to 1,000 local residents. Generous sponsors of this year’s S.T.E.A.M. Fair include CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital-San Marcos, CFAN, United Way of Hays & Caldwell Counties, City Limits Subaru, myDental and US Aviation Academy.
