Two separate structure fires in San Marcos Wednesday

There were two structure fires that occurred in San Marcos on Wednesday: 1456 River Road and at 1010 Hazelton Street.

The city of San Marcos said that the first occurred at 1456 River Road at the Blanco River Duplexes, and the San Marcos Fire Department responded at approximately 1:50 p.m.

“The fire was in the first-floor unit. … The fire was contained to one building,” the city said, adding the fire was extinguished within 15 minutes from the first phone call. “An adult male was evaluated at the scene by EMS but refused transport. ”
