The publication highlights everything from local business and entertainment to employment and education. It serves as a catalog of information for all residents of the San Marcos community. With its comprehensive look at all things San Marcos, the guide informs residents and visitors about the best and unique attributes San Marcos has to offer.

Choose San Marcos is an ongoing high-energy video series highlighting the live, work, play qualities of San Marcos. Featuring Country Music Icon Randy Rogers and over 50 locals, Choose San Marcos expresses our citizens love for the community and all it has to offer. The project was made possible by the San Marcos Industrial Foundation, San Marcos Convention and Visitors Bureau and San Marcos Lions Club. The project was produced by Bring Light & Sound’s founder and Texas State graduate Luke Lashley.
“It is an honor to be recognized by our peers at TCCE for our Welcome Guide and Choose San Marcos project,” said Samantha Brown, vice president of communications at San Marcos Area Chamber. “These projects were both truly a team effort. The staff at the Daily Record and the Bring Light & Sound team took these big ideas and made them possible. These awards are a testament to the creativity, dedication and the team’s willingness to take chances.”
