Where: San Marcos Activity Center What: Welcome to Fyzical Therapy & Balance’s Fight the Fall, balance and fall prevention class. Balance is in their name, and they specialize in it. At FYZICAL, fall prevention is one of the cornerstones of their mission. Their clinics across the country join together to “Fight the Fall” by spreading awareness of the danger of falls and how falls can be prevented.

60+ Monthly Bingo | April 2, 2 - 3 p.m.

Where: San Marcos Activity Center What: Will you be the next one to shout “BINGO?”

You’ll never know unless you join us for our monthly Bingo program at the San Marcos Activity Center.

Each month, we provide Bingo with great prizes and light refreshments.

Participants are allowed to play 3 bingo cards each game. Registration is not required. You do not need to be a member of the Activity Center to attend.

Getting Crafty with Humana | April 4, 2 p.m.

Where: Dunbar Recreation Center, 801 West MLK What: Join us for our newest offering, Getting Crafty with Humana.

Beginning in April and continuing in August, October and December we will gather together to work on a craft project.

For the first meeting in April participants will be given a birdhouse to decorate as they wish, using acrylic paints and various craft supplies. This is a free event and all supplies will be provided by Humana and San Marcos Parks and Recreation.

Where: San Marcos Discovery Center, 430 Riverside Drive What: Peruse a wide variety of native and adapted plants, including: perennials, grasses, shrubs, trees, and organic vegetables and herbs.

Knowledgeable staff will be available to assist with plant questions and local organizations will be onsite discussing all things sustainability and how you can get involved in environmental initiatives. If possible, we recommend you bring your own cart to haul plants-we will have limited carts available.

There will be a holding area for your plants after you purchase them so you can stay and enjoy the Fair. Staff will be available to assist with loading plants into your vehicle at our pickup location. We will also have SPIN scooters available at the Activity Center for you to park and ride over to the event.
