While the population expands and businesses flourish, a significant challenge has emerged: the lack of adequate wastewater infrastructure has slowed growth. This limitation poses concerns for both residential and commercial development, making sustainable expansion a top priority. Soon, the Texas Supreme Court is expected to announce its ruling on a case involving the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the city of Dripping Springs regarding a wastewater permit. The court’s decision will determine if the permit complies with state and federal water-quality standards. Once the ruling is announced, it will pave the way for thoughtful growth to continue in Dripping Springs, shaping the area’s future development.
Despite these hurdles, the Chamber remains committed to improving the overall economic climate in our small town. By supporting local businesses and encouraging sound practices, we strive to ensure that growth benefits everyone.
