This weekend, “Love will keep us together” at the Bobcat Pride Scholarship Fund’s 15th birthday celebration. This year’s BPSF birthday party will take place at Wake the Dead on Saturday, from 1 to 4 p.m. with a special program at 2:30 p.m. and live music by Vic Cole. This annual event is one of my favorites because BPSF does so much tangible good work in supporting the LGBTQIA+ community in San Marcos and Hays County. Money raised by this fundraiser directly assists the community through emergency stabilization grants, academic scholarships and paid internships. The BPSF Birthday Party is an inclusive, family-friendly event featuring a silent auction with lots of excellent items to bid on, and it’s all for a really great cause.
