This Saturday there is fun stuff happening all over the Square. There will be a Mural Jam from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Imagine Alley next to San Marcos Film Lab, located at 145 S LBJ Drive. This event is part of the San Marcos Art Fest happening downtown. The event is hosted by the artists behind @78666 walls and will have more than 30 artists painting a kids mural wall. There will be a DJ set by Chief and TheDoomsDayDevice and free water for the public. Also part of San Marcos Art Fest is the Kissing Alley artist panel at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday in Kissing Alley, located at 121 East Hopkins. I will be moderating, and the artists on the panel are Christopher Paul Cardoza — local photographer, Karly Schlievert — pottery artist, Michael Villareal — painter and educator, Corine Loperfido — textile reuse artist and Julia Fae — Poet, Clown, Visual Artist and Actress. The topic is the San Marcos Art Scene’s past, present and future.
