COMMUNITY LEGACY
Belinda Rojo Arredondo, the daughter of Dr. Daniel Rojo, is proud to announce the establishment of the Dr. Daniel Rojo Medical Endowed Scholarship through the Texas State University Development Foundation. This endowed scholarship honors Rojo’s significant contributions to the San Marcos community and commemorates his legacy as a compassionate healer and community leader.
The scholarship is designed to support future generations pursuing education and careers in healthcare, reflecting Rojo’s deep commitment to accessibility, equity and social justice in medicine.
Distributions from the scholarship endowment will provide financial assistance to undergraduate students attending Texas State University, with the following criteria: The recipient must be a graduate of San Marcos High School.

Daniel Rojo
The recipient must be enrolled in the College of Health Professions.
The recipient must demonstrate financial need.
The Financial Aid and Scholarship Office at Texas State University will oversee the administration of funds distributed from this endowment. A portion of the gift will fund immediate scholarship awards for the 2025 academic year.
Additionally, high school students interested in pursuing health careers can apply for a scholarship award at San Marcos High School in Rojo’s name under the General Scholarship Funds.
Rojo’s family believes that investing in educational opportunities for future generations is vital to the prosperity of the students, the community, and beyond. This scholarship is a dedication to healthcare that will inspire and support the next generation of leaders in the field.
