Silver Singers Group Sing-Along and Karaoke | April 11, 2 p.m.

We changed up our karaoke program to include group singalong songs as well as solo performances and now we are changing it up to include all adults, aged 18 and up. 60+ Indoor Cornhole | April 15, 1 p.m.

Where: San Marcos Activity Center What: Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to this sport, join us once a month for 60+ Indoor Cornhole at the. Cornhole is similar to horseshoes except you use wooden boxes called cornhole platforms and corn bags instead of horseshoes and metal stakes. Contestants take turns pitching their bags at the platform until a contestant reaches the score of 21 points. A bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point. Benefits of playing Cornhole for Senior Citizens include increased mobility and leg strength, depth perception and vision, and balance and hip mobility.

Fight the Fall | April 16, 12 - 1 p.m.

Where: San Marcos Activity Center What: Welcome to Fyzical Therapy & Balance’s Fight the Fall, balance and fall prevention class. Balance is in their name, and they specialize in it. At FYZICAL, fall prevention is one of the cornerstones of their mission. 60+ Trivia Time | April 16, 1 p.m.

Where: San Marcos Activity Center What: We are looking for trivia buffs ages 60 and above to join us for 60+ Trivia Time, a pub style trivia game at the San Marcos Activity Center!

This monthly event will include participants answering multiple choice questions on a variety of topics through Trivia Nerd, a web based, trivia hosting platform. A mobile device, such as a smart phone, a tablet, or laptop computer, is required to play 60+Trivia Time. The questions and possible answers will be projected onto a screen and will also be displayed on the player’s device.

Each participant will use their device to select their answers. Trivia Nerd will keep track of individual scores. Points are awarded for correct answers, and additional points are awarded to players that answer the questions the fastest. The topics for each round are chosen by the host. Registration for Trivia time is not required. You will not have to download anything to your device.
