Local company partners with SWAT for Community Outreach and Training Day

In a powerful display of community collaboration and service, Jenkins Restorations and Jenkins Environmental Services recently joined forces with members of the Hays County SWAT team for a unique day of tactical training and outreach. The event highlighted the value of partnership, teamwork and a shared commitment to serving others.

The training took place at one of San Marcos’s apartment complex buildings, a property currently being remodeled by Jenkins. Before beginning part of the restoration process, Jenkins offered the space to Hays County SWAT, providing a real-world environment for vital tactical exercises. The opportunity allowed SWAT officers to train in a setting that closely mirrors actual field conditions — an invaluable resource for readiness and public safety.

But the day wasn’t just about training — it was also about connection. Jenkins team members participated alongside SWAT personnel in various exercises, reinforcing a sense of mutual respect and cooperation. The day concluded with a relaxed and heartfelt cookout, where stories were shared, relationships were built, and appreciation was exchanged.

“At Jenkins Restorations, we believe in serving our community in any way we can. Today was an opportunity for something out of the ordinary,” said Jordan Jennings, Environmental Project Manager at Jenkins. “Typically, we are the cleanup crew behind the first responders. This was an exciting opportunity to be right alongside those heroes and gain a little insight into their world. I could not be more appreciative of Hays County SWAT and all law enforcement for their dedication to keeping our communities safe.”

Jenkins Restorations and Jenkins Environmental Services extend their heartfelt thanks to Hays County SWAT for their dedication, professionalism and continued service. Events like these are a reminder that when local residents come together — with purpose and compassion — they can create safer, stronger communities.
