Narcotics arrest in Driftwood

The Hays County Sheriff’s Office Repeat Offender Program Unit launched a narcotics investigation targeting Raymond Hartoin, a 37-year-old resident of Wimberley and Driftwood, who was eventually arrested for the possession of large quantities of six different kinds of narcotics and stolen firearms in April.

On April 8, the ROP Unit — assisted by the HCSO Drone Unit, Interdiction Unit and patrol deputies — executed an arrest warrant and a narcotics search warrant at a residence on Brownson Lane in Driftwood. The operation led to the seizure of significant quantities of Methamphetamine, Cocaine, MDMA, Ketamine, THC, Marijuana and U.S. currency. Additionally, multiple firearms and ammunition were confiscated, including two stolen firearms – one reported out of Hays County and the other from Georgetown.

Hartoin was booked into the Hays County Jail on an unrelated warrant, along with ten counts of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana and two counts of Theft of a Firearm. Hartoin’s total bonds are set at $254,000.

This investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Hays County Sheriff’s Office at 512393-7800 or submit tips anonymously through Hays County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-324-TIPS or online at P3tips.com
