Texas State football to tackle golf at May 16 event

A foursome from Texas State football will compete in the Rotary Club’s upcoming 16th annual Scramble 4 Scholarships on May 16 at the Kissing Tree Golf Club. The team was recruited by students working with Rotary as part of a public relations campaign class this spring.

After hearing about how the event helps high school students in the community, Assistant Quarterback Coach Dane Evans, Offensive Coordinator Landon Keopple, and quarterbacks Holden Geriner and Brad Jackson decided to join the Scramble.

Jackson, a redshirt freshman majoring in marketing, started playing golf just a couple of years ago. He threw for 9,986 yards and scored 120 touchdowns during his Reagan High School career in San Antonio.
