The Meadows Center for Water and The Environment hosted its annual Earth Day celebration on Saturday. There were various vendors, educational booths, face painting, a blessing from the springs and multiple informational panels on conservation- focused topics. Above, Camyle Hudson gets her facepainted. Right, is Maria Rocha and Mario Garza doing a traditional Coahuiltecan prayer at the headwaters. Rocha noted that the ritual would make it so that everyone present could receive blessings from the sacred springs. Daily Record photos by Shanon West
