Dragon’s Lair Comic & Fantasy will once again host the annual Free Comic Book Day event. Free Comic Book Day is the biggest event in the comic book industry — a single day when participating comic book specialty shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their shops. Founded on the belief that for every person out there, there’s a comic book they’ll love, the annual event offers a huge selection of free titles designed to appeal to a broad range of age levels and their tastes.
The San Marcos store will be giving back to the community in another way in honor of the event. Customers who bring a non-perishable food item to support the Hayes County Food Bank will receive their choice of comic posters in addition to their comics.

Dragon’s Lair San Marcos will start giving away comics Saturday, May 3 when the store opens at 10 a.m. and will continue until they run out. Stores have a limited supply of titles, so if you are looking for something specific, get there early.
