Gary Job Corps Corrections Cadets are assisting with the Annual Hays County Easter Egg Hunt held at the Hays County Historic Court House. Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra has hosted the Annual Easter Egg Hunt beginning in 2016 — with the exception of 2020, the year of the pandemic — in order to bring the community together.
“Every opportunity we have to come together, we benefit as a community,” Becerra said. “Together we hunt, together we smile”.
Visitors enjoyed refreshments, crafts, games, face painting and egg hunts for four different age groups. Gary Cadets assisted with the Hula-Hoop workouts, bubbles for the kids and photo ops with the Easter Bunny.
