THE HAYS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
The Hays County Commissioners Court held discussion and approved some shifting of county office staff to make space in the Hays County Historic Courthouse for a new position, the County Administrator, once hired. The County Administrator is meant to act as a middle man between the department heads and the commissioners, relaying messages and requests to all of the commissioners and the judge — instead of having to reach out to each individually. Making space for the County Administrator will also involve the relocation of the Veterans Counseling Services Department within the same building.
Tammy Crumley, Hays County countywide operations director, said she was asked to find a location for the new county administrator once that position is filled.
