Hats Off For Veterans received a generous $3,000 donation from the Capital Area Housing Finance Corporation to support the organization’s mental healthcare programs and operations. This impactful contribution was facilitated by Hays County Commissioner Michelle Cohen, a dedicated member of the CAHFC Board of Directors.
Hats Off For Veterans provides essential services to local veterans, ensuring they have access to mental healthcare resources that promote healing, resilience and overall well-being. The donation from CAHFC will directly enhance these programs including Courage to Connect, a worldwide free virtual support group for veterans suffering from PTSD, and helping to provide counseling, peer support and other vital mental health initiatives.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Capital Area Housing Finance Corporation for this generous donation and to Commissioner Michelle Cohen for her commitment to supporting our veterans,” said Lisa Adams, Hats Off For Veterans CEO and founder. “This funding will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who have served our country.”
Commissioner Cohen played a pivotal role in facilitating this donation, recognizing the urgent need to support mental health services for veterans in Hays County.
“Ensuring our veterans receive the care and resources they deserve is a priority for me and for CAHFC,” Cohen said. “I am proud to support Hats Off For Veterans in their mission to provide critical mental health programs to those who have served our nation.”
Hats Off For Veterans remains committed to honoring and assisting veterans by providing essential services that foster health, stability and community. The organization expresses its deepest gratitude to CAHFC and Commissioner Cohen for their generous support and dedication to improving veterans’ lives.
