Sunday is Mother’s Day, and I thought it might be helpful to come up with some ways to spend time with the woman who gave you life. I will probably start the day by popping by Douglas Smith Soap Company for an easy gift for my mom. I love their soaps; they are high quality, and the scents are amazing. Plus, I always love to support a local, small business. Then I’ll go to Daughter of the Wild to get her a new plant and selfishly browse for myself as well. I don’t know if your mother is an earthchild like mine, but I will certainly be taking her to the river to begin our day of hanging out; like her daughter, it is her favorite place. Then I will probably take her to lunch. She really likes Blue Dahlia Bistro, which will be having its brunch at that time; I’ll probably order the eggs benedict. I’m sure we will also get a carafe of mimosas because the weekend isn’t over yet!
