SAN MARCOS ART LEAGUE
The San Marcos Art League is gearing up for their annual Aquatica showcase at the San Marcos Art Center, now in the month of May, in honor of San Marcos being named the mermaid capital of Texas. The Aquatica showcase hosts a variety of works in different mediums that celebrate the month of the Mermaid and has works from local artists will be for sale and will be showing in the San Marcos Art Center throughout the month of May.
“This Art League Exhibition showcases the core mythos of San Marcos; the River, the Springs and, of course, mermaids!” SMAC Manager Nancy Brown said. “Our Show expresses our artists’ collective and individual representations of this celebration.”
This truly unique showcase will be open to view during Art Center hours, Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. For more information, visit sanmarcosartcenter. com
