The San Marcos Police Department was called around 9:15 a.m. Monday morning due to a minor hit and run near Papa John’s Pizza in Downtown San Marcos involving a grey Dodge Sedan, according to an official with the city of San Marcos. Additional callers reported the same vehicle hitting the Jack in the Box located at 345 North LBJ Drive as well as another vehicle in the parking lot. Damage to the building and vehicle was minor.
“The driver was transported to Christus Santa Rosa due to a possible medical event, believed to be the cause of the incident,” an official with the city of San Marcos stated. There was a dog with the driver that was taken to the animal shelter for safe keeping while the driver received medical attention. No arrests were made.
