Five different Bobcat track athletes earned postseason accolades while Head Coach John Frazier was named both Men’s and Women’s Coach of the Year following the Sun Belt conference meet.
Frazier won both Coach of the Year awards after leading the programs to the conference championship in the outdoor meet. It was the second consecutive year the women’s team had won the conference championship while the men’s team won their first title since 2019.
Junior Abigail Parra was named the 2025 Women’s Track Performer of the Year after winning the 1,500-meter run. Parra scored 23 points for the Bobcats and was named the top meet scorer at the 2025 Outdoor Meet.
Freshman Charlize Goody was named the Women’s Freshman of the Year, winning the gold medal in the javelin throw. A freshman from Australia, Goody currently sits in the Top-20 of the NCAA West Region.
Sophomore Lara Roberts was named the Sun Belt Conference Elite Award Winner, which is given out to the athlete with the best performance both on the field and in the classroom. Roberts took first place in the Hammer Throw.
Junior Aiden Hayes was named the 2025 Men’s Field Performer of the Year. Hayes won first place in the high jump competition and tied a conference record in the event set in 1994. Hayes enters the NCAA West Regional with one of the best marks.
Senior Drew Donley was named the Men’s Newcomer of the Year. Donley, a Bobcat football player, won the gold medal in 200-meter run and took third place in the 100-meter run. Donley has also qualified for the NCAA West Regional meet in both the 200 and 100-meter dash.
