Central Texas gaming convention ChupacabraCon brings together industry leaders, authors and players for demos, tournaments, and education to benefit charity. A portion of the proceeds go to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals via Extra Life.
Local nonprofit Austin Creative Pathways (501(c) 3) is hosting the 11th annual ChupacabraCon at the Embassy Suites/San Marcos Convention Center May 30 to June 1. This family- friendly event will include role-playing games, minis, collectible card games, board games and panels.
Featured guests include Sarah Babe, Aaron Burkett, Mark Carroll, Preston Dubose, Robin English-Bircher, Karl Keesler, Eloy Lasanta, Michael Nystul, Ted Pick, Jr., Jennifer Shinefeld, Connor Smotzer, Jared Twing, Ed Wetterman, Cory Williamsen and Dustin Wright.
Sponsors Pinnacle and Chaosium will be running games all weekend including Savage Worlds and Call of Cthulhu role playing games.
Panels will include topics such as, “Indie Development: Creation of Wyrdwarp & Other Games,” and “Technology at the Table: How to use media as a GM!”
Scheduled role-playing games, board games and open gaming will occur all weekend. All-weekend passes are $75. Day rates are also available.
