RODEO
Last weekend saw both cowboys and cowgirls compete at the 18th annual Wimberley Memorial Day Rodeo.
The rodeo is a benefit for the Wimberley 4-H Club who uses the funds to help with various projects for their members.
In front of a packed house at the Chester Franklin Arena, attendees were able to enjoy a full two days of rodeo events featuring some of the best cowboys and girls from across the state. Also competing in rodeo were several Wimberley cowboys and cowgirls who looked to put their skills to the test against the best.
Events included: Ranch Bronc Riding, Mutton Bustin’, Calf Roping, Breakaway Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bareback Bronco Riding, Team Roping, Barrell Racing and Bull Riding. Specialty acts also included Trick Riding from the Dynamite Dames and a Gaucho Horse Riding demonstration.
