It was history in the making for the Texans baseball team. For the first time, Wimberley captured the regional title, sweeping the Sinton Pirates in a three-game series winning Game 1 6-2 before winning Game 2 4-2.
In Game 1 on Thursday, the Texans and the Pirates were locked in a defensive battle in the first three innings — held scoreless.
