Saddle up for a Texas Hill Country tradition. The 79th Annual VFW CPRA Rodeo, hosted by Oldham-Cummings VFW Post 6441, gallops into Chester Franklin Arena at Veterans Park, 401 Jacobs Well Rd., Wimberley, from July 3–5, 2025. This Pro/Open event, sanctioned by the Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association (CPRA), showcases top-tier rodeo action while supporting veterans and community programs.

• Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

• Mutton Bustin’ registration at 6 p.m.; first event at 7 p.m.

• Rodeo begins at 8 p.m. Events: Bull riding, bronc riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, team roping, women’s breakaway roping, barrel racing, youth and adult calf scrambles.

Special Attractions: Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame free-style bullfighter Leon Coffee, Lone Star Cowgirls precision riding team, nightly fireworks (weather permitting) Tickets:

- Advance (June 29–30, 3 – 6 p.m. at VFW Hall): - Adults: $20, Children (4–12): $10 At Gate: - Adults: $25, Children (4–12): $15, Children 3 & under: Free - Limited box seats: $75 (advance purchase only) The After-Rodeo Dance is back on July 5.

The dance will be held inside the VFW Hall with live music from end of rodeo until 12:30 a.m. Presale tickets are $15; $25 at the door. BYOB with limited seating available.

Proceeds benefit VFW Post 6441 and Auxiliary programs supporting veterans and the local community.
