In May, the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce proudly celebrated the graduation of 22 local professionals from the eighth cohort of the Leadership Dripping Springs program. Aptly dubbed “The Ocho,” this dynamic group of leaders completed a rigorous nine-month journey focused on community engagement, professional development and cross-sector collaboration.
Launched by the chamber in 2016, Leadership Dripping Springs is designed to foster a deeper understanding of the Dripping Springs area and to cultivate emerging leaders across a wide range of industries. Participants engage in monthly full-day sessions exploring critical sectors such as education, non-profit services, government, economic development, health, public safety and tourism.
This year’s class gained behind-the-scenes insights into local institutions. Through site visits, panel discussions and immersive experiences, The Ocho built lasting connections while tackling leadership challenges and exploring solutions to real-world community issues.
“The Ocho brought curiosity, collaboration and incredible commitment,” said Susan Kimball, Chamber President/CEO. “Each graduate now carries a richer understanding of the people, systems, and challenges that shape our fast-growing community.”
As Leadership Dripping Springs continues to grow in impact, the chamber is excited to announce that applications for Class 9 will open in July 2025. Business and non-profit professionals who live or work in the Dripping Springs area are encouraged to apply.
