WATER & RHYTHMS
The Texas Water Safari starts today! Boats take off at 8 a.m., and there’s great spots to watch them at Rio Vista, City Park and even the Meadows Center where they start. These racers will be traveling 260 miles down to the gulf coast over the next few days. It’s an intense and demanding feat, but you can relax and watch their endurance with a mimosa in hand from Ivar’s River Pub from 8 to 10:30 a.m.
On Saturday, give your ears a gift by attending the Purgatory Creek Chorale concert. Their Masterworks ensemble is presenting ‘Fauré Requiem’ at the San Marcos High School Performing Arts Center at 3 p.m. Tickets are available on their website at purgatorycreekchorale.org. This chorus is open to all singers in San Marcos, so if you have a song to sing this group might be for you!
