Eleven years ago, my son and I seized a wild opportunity to live in Seoul, South Korea for a year. It turned out to be the adventure of a lifetime, and Seoul – one of the liveliest and beautiful cities in the world – continues to call to us. While we lived there, we became fans of the band BTS before they became the international mega-group they are today. Friday, June 13 marks the band’s 12th year anniversary, and our 11th year as fans. We don’t have any KPOP related events in town (YET), but my son and I will commemorate this occasion with millions of other fans worldwide as we celebrate FESTA 2025. Also of equal importance, this weekend is Father’s Day. To celebrate, my husband and I are going out on a fancy date to Palmer’s on Saturday, and the family is taking our Dad out for Dad Brunch at Garcia’s on Sunday.
