EMERGENCY NOTICE
The city of San Marcos announced a Boil Water Notice on its Facebook page. The city cited that the issue was due to a pump failure and loss of pressure. Customers on Quail Run, Lazy Ln, Oak, Maple, Mulberry, Mesquite, Hamilton Hollow, Knight and Day will need to boil water until further notice.
“All water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, washing hands/face, or making ice should be brought to a boil, boiled for at least two minutes and cooled before use,” the post stated. “Alternatively, bottled water or another safe water source may be used. This is especially important for children, seniors and individuals with weakened immune systems.”
The city of San Marcos stated that it will update the Facebook post once it receives satisfactory test results from the lab.
