SAN MARCOS POLICE DEPARTMENT
San Marcos Police Department Officers responded to multiple calls reporting gunshots at an apartment complex in the 1300 block of Wonder World Drive around 4:20 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17. The suspect was 16 years old.
“The suspect assaulted his grandmother, who was trying to get the neighbors to call the police,” an official with the city of San Marcos stated. “That neighbor and the suspect had a brief altercation, after which the suspect fired multiple shots. One shot hit the neighbor in the leg and he may have been grazed by a second shot. The suspect fled on foot and was arrested without incident about an hour later near Parker Drive.”
The investigation is ongoing.
