CITY OF SAN MARCOS
The city of San Marcos is hosting an in person event to help residents register for free parking at City Park, now that it is moving to a paid parking model for nonresidents. According to a Facebook post, the registration event is from 12 to 2 p.m. on Monday, June 23 at the San Marcos Activity Center, located at 501 East Hopkins Street.
Attendees will need to bring an ID and one proof of a city address, which can include:
• A valid driver’s license
• A current utilities state- ment
• A rental or housing contract • An enhanced library card provided by the San Marcos Public Library The city urged residents to register before July 1 to avoid fees. For more information and to get started, go to sanmarcostx.gov/ paidparking.
