GARY JOB CORPS
The Temporary Restraining Order that was issued recently to prevent the U.S. Department of Labor from “issuing, enforcing, implementing, maintaining or giving effect to any shutdown tasks, job terminations, or student removals, and from taking any further action to eliminate the Job Corps program without Congressional authorization” has been extended until June 25, following the Preliminary Injunction hearing that occurred on June 17.
“This means the court has not yet made a final decision on the legality of the proposed pause of Job Corps operations and will continue its deliberations,” according to documents issued to all Job Corps campuses.
Job Corps, including Gary Job Corps, will continue to operate “as close to business as usual as possible.”
