Saturday is the fourth annual Health and Wellness Fair hosted by the Martindale Community Library from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., located at 413 Main Street in Martindale. There will be health and wellness resources for residents of Martindale as well as the surrounding communities. Please contact the library for more information at 512-357-4492.
Tumble 22, which calls itself a Texas chicken joint, will be having its Grand Opening Saturday at 11 a.m. They brought sandwiches by the Daily Record, so we could try them and tell you all they are amazing; they really are. The chicken is crispy and the cole slaw added some Texas-sized flavor to the mix.
“The first 100 guests that day will receive free O.G. sandwiches for a year; that’s one sandwich each month, on the house,” according to a Facebook post about the event. “The celebration will also include giveaways, ice-cold drinks, and the full Tumble 22 experience.”
