Shrek the Musical is back today! Broke thespians has an annual summer musical, and this one is supposed to be “a hilarious and heartwarming production based on the beloved DreamWorks animated film,” according to a Facebook post. “Featuring a cast of fairytale misfits, catchy songs, and one very grumpy ogre, this high-energy show is perfect for audiences of all ages.” Showtimes are July 11 to 12, 18 to 20 and 25 to 26 at 7:30 p.m. in San Marcos Plaza Park, located at 206 North CM Allen Parkway. Admission is free.
And for Sunday, get ready to get sudsy; there is a kids foam party at The Weighted Plate, located at 5441 Hunter Road in New Braunfels. There will be a live DJ, New York style pizza and strimboli from Hoagie Haus and tacos, smash burgers, quesadillas and more from Litia’s Cuisine.
