SAN MARCOS POLICE DEPARTMENT
A 15-year old suspect was arrested by San Marcos Police around 2:25 a.m. on Monday, July 14 for Burglary of a Vehicle. Officers responded to a report of a vehicle burglary near Building 14 at 4210 SH 123, where a suspect was seen checking door handles; officers confirmed at least one vehicle had been burglarized, according to San Marcos Police Department.
Thanks to an alert witness, the suspect was located in a nearby apartment.
SMPD asks that residents reach out to 512--753-2108 with any camera footage or if they believe their vehicle was targeted, adding that “tips and footage help keep your neighborhood safer.”
