Some weekends, we just need a change of pace. After spending a lot of time out this past week, this introvert is looking for some downtime to recharge. That doesn’t mean I won’t go out and enjoy the things this town has to offer, but for this weekend, it’s time to enjoy nature, read some books, sit in the shade and chill. On Friday, my family will have a light late afternoon lunch at Blue Dahlia to enjoy the Secret Garden. Where else can you enjoy fresh fruit and open-faced tartines beneath sunlight dappled through grapevines? On Saturday night, local comedian Jason Johnson will take the stage at Ragnar’s at 8 p.m. That should be really fun. And on Sunday, I’ll make my weekly pilgrimage to Green Heron Bookshop and the La Cima Farmers Market. It will be a calm, peaceful and sweet San Marcos weekend.
