SAN MARCOS CISD
26 local teachers are stepping into San Marcos businesses to learn, connect and bring real-world insight back to their classrooms this Summer.
Through the Teacher Externship Program, San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District and San Marcos Academy educators are spending time at places like Texas State University, San Marcos Vet Clinic and Visit San Marcos, gaining hands-on experience they’ll bring back to their students this fall.
The teachers are learning how real-world industries work, asking all the right questions and creating lessons that connect the classroom to careers.
