Ready to JAM? Johnnie Jam 2025, San Marcos’ own live annual music fest is slated for Saturday Aug. 9 at Cheatham Street Warehouse from 5 p.m. midnight. Admission is $15 per person, $25 per couple (Children under 18 years free, but admitted ONLY with a parent). It is a lineup of rising stars and local favorites and each bring their unique flair, guaranteeing a lively and fun evening for any music aficionado. Cheatham Street Warehouse, the well-renowned historical music venue, has hosted this local fundraising event since 2012. Johnnie Jam raises funds for local high school scholarships with event proceeds going to selected 2026 San Marcos High school graduating seniors. This year’s Johnnie Jam will feature a stellar roster of artists who share a passion for making a difference through music. Musicians/bands slated to appear (in order of appearance) include: Lit Up: Opening the night, these rock-n-rollers will light up any event with their classic standards and fresh energy. Lead vocalist and bass guitarist Eloy Guerrero, Richard Nieto on rhythm guitar; Phil Avila on drums and Rene Caballero Jr. on lead guitar.
Intergalactic Spacecorps: Led by the notorious Captain Mmazing, the SpaceCorps are wanted in every sector for their pursuit of lust, plunder and numerous counts of Grand Theft Spaceship. Science Officer Chuo Asteria on bass guitar, James Gomez on lead guitar and weapons expert Nikodimas Splat on drums.
Audio Outlaws: Texas rockn- roll with an explosive stage presence from classic to hard rock. This Central Texas band boasts local popular and talented members who enjoy performing a variety of rock-n-roll songs that are vocally inspired and versatile. Geronimo Sabat on vocals and bass; Allen Krueger, vocals and percussion; Mike Brown, vocals and guitar; Malcolm McEachern vocals and guitar; David Pearson, vocals, keys and miscellaneous.
Steel Hawk: A powerhouse band known for their fiery performances and rebellious spirit. Hawk Guerrero, guitar; Tino Pacheco, drums; Rusty Krueger, Bass guitarist; Gabriel Vega, vocals; and John Gonzales, guitar.
U.C.K. (Undercover Killas): A cover tune band from San Marcos. Dive into classic rock with a metal twist. Rene Ramos Villa on vocals, Gilbert Torres on bass, Jimi Sweepz on lead guitar and Tino Pacheco on drums.
Patrick Rodriguez & Friends: Turn back the clock with this retro-inspired group that blends grit and an infectious rock hook sure to get the whole crowd moving. Patrick Rodriguez on vocals/guitar, Noah Rodriguez on keys, Brooks Moren on guitar, Lincoln Ball on bass and Jeff Pendleton on drums.
The Fixations: NEW for 2025. “No bullsh*t” Rock-nroll. These cats are an emerging talent and are set to become the next big thing. Experience the FIXATION vibe where rockin’ punk energy meets classic influences in this band’s dynamic set. Jones on lead vocals, guitar; Doc on lead guitar, vocals; O.C. Flores on drums and Rusty Nails on bass.

Johnnie Jam has been a part of the local San Marcos music scene since 2010. The festival was established in memory of Johnnie T. Rosales who died in 2008 by his family and friends. To date, about $25,000 in scholarships have been awarded since 2010 when the first scholarships were given. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances the curtain will come down and Johnnie Jam 2025, “El Fin” will be the final Musicfest scheduled.
