AUGUST Women’s Hall of Fame Nominations Parks and Recreation is looking for outstanding local women to honor during the annual induction ceremony in October.A committee of former recipients will review the nominations and select the honorees. Criteria for selection include: volunteerism in multiple areas of service; meeting the needs of the community; demonstration of community initiative; and influencing positive change and going beyond the call of duty.

Paper nomination forms will also be available at the Parks and Recreation Office.

Nominations close Aug. 15 at 4pm.

Cottage Kitchen Luncheon

Who: The Heritage Society of San Marcos What: Heritage Association of San Marcos will resume our first Thursday Cottage Kitchen luncheons. Lunch will be served by San Marcos Rotary. The menu will include Rogelio’s enchiladas (Cheese, Beef, Chicken), crispy beef tacos, beans and rice, as well as homemade desserts.
