CHARITY

Hays Cares increases donated shoes by 200 this year

For nine years, Pastor James Jacobs, of Hays Cares, has led the charge in donating shoes for children of Hays County prior to the start of the new school year. The event took place at McCormick Middle School from 10 am to 2 pm. Last year, 500 pairs of shoes were given out, and, this year, the number increased with 700 pairs issued to local students.
